Well, what an original title! Let's hope my creativity and imagination are put to better use as the Art of Photography course proceeds. I must say that I am really looking forward to getting stuck into the course material which looks very interesting and well written. I have sent my profile form to my tutor and await his contact.
We have just returned from 2 months in South America where I took loads of photos with my new Canon 1000D SLR (Patagonia was amazing and a photographers paradise) and this gave me the urge to learn more about the camera and photography in general. Having come back and reviewed the photos from the holiday, I can see that there is a lot of room for improvement, which is not surprising really. Anyway, I have ordered (via Amazon UK and to be delivered to Spain where we live) a tripod (Manfrotto 055 XPROB), ballhead (Manfrotto 322 RC2) and remote shutter release (Canon RS60 E3) together with Adobe Photoshop Elements 7, which I have now installed. We have an HP ink-jet printer and I am using Agfa 210 g/m2 photographic paper.
Looking through the suggested time required for the various elements of the course, I estimated that it would take about 10 months. Does that seem about right?
Now that the blog is set up I intend to do Project 1 and report back.
